Theoretical Courses: General Physics I and General Physics II
Effective from the 2025–2026 academic year, General Physics I (PHYS 101) and General Physics II (PHYS 102) are conducted as common courses for all departments. Students may enroll in any of the available sections, which are opened with limited quotas. The courses and examinations are carried out synchronously. Examination topics and questions are determined by the relevant commission.
In addition to four hours of weekly theoretical lectures, two hours of problem-solving (recitation) sessions are conducted by research assistants of the Department of Physics according to a predetermined schedule. Students may attend these sessions on a voluntary basis.
All students enrolled in General Physics I and General Physics II are expected to have read and understood the general information regarding the courses provided in this document.
Practical Courses: General Physics Laboratory I and General Physics Laboratory II
In parallel with the topics covered in the theoretical courses, General Physics Laboratory I (PHYS 111) and General Physics Laboratory II (PHYS 112), in which physics experiments are conducted, are also offered. The laboratory courses are opened on a departmental basis, and students are required to enroll in the course offered for their own department.
All students enrolled in General Physics Laboratory I and General Physics Laboratory II are expected to have read and understood the general information regarding the courses provided in this document.
